This line follows the direct paternal ancestry of Devin Robert Dixon, beginning in modern-day Illinois and reaching back through generations of men named Edward and Richard Dixon. Each generation carried on the family name and helped shape the legacy we are now uncovering through stories, documents, and DNA.
- Devin Robert Dixon (b. 1964) – Born in Niagara Falls, New York, and raised in Illinois. A lifelong presence in central Illinois communities like Petersburg and Athens.
- Peter Kyle Dixon – Devin’s father. Further details forthcoming through census and public records research.
- Clarence A. Dixon – Peter’s father. Likely lived during the early-to-mid 1900s.
- Ed D. Dixon – Clarence’s father. Part of the post-Civil War generation.
- Edward Dixon – Son of Ed D., carrying on the Dixon name into the 19th century.
- Edward Dixon (the elder) – Father of the above; possibly the immigrant or frontier-era ancestor depending on birthplace and time frame.
- Richard Dixon – The furthest known paternal ancestor on this line based on current records.
